Spinneys, the premium grocery retailer in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today the opening of its seventh and largest branch in Lebanon. The store was officially opened at a launch ceremony attended by representatives of the business community, partners, suppliers and the senior management of Abraaj Capital, the Group’s main investor. The launch was timed to coincide with the 13th anniversary of Spinneys’ current operations in Lebanon. The brand has a history of prior operations in the country dating back to 1948 where it played a prominent role in the retail landscape.
